A VARIETY RICE FOR GOOD DIGESTION
Ginger ground | 2 tsp |
Black or white pepper | 1 tsp |
Cumin seed (Jeera) | 1 tsp |
Curry leaves | 1 tbsn |
Minced Onion | 1 cup |
Garlic flakes | 4 |
Turmeric powder | ½ tsp |
Cloves | 2 |
Ginglee oil | 2 tbsn |
Salt to taste | |
Lime Juice (optional) | 1 tsp |
Cooked Rice | 3 cups |
1. Cook basumati rice or usual rice with less water and keep.
2. Fry pepper, jeera, cloves and curry leaves and powder them.
3. In a pan pour 1 tbsn of oil and sauté onion and garlic adding turmeric powder and ginger ground.
4. When the onion is transparent add the ground powder and salt and mix well.
5. Add the cooked rice with one more tbsn of oil and mix slowly without breaking the rice.
6. Add lime juice after removing the rice from stove.
7. This is an excellent variety rice for a winter night and also for good digestion.
