Why a blog on GD?

I thought of writing something on diet for Gestational Diabetes (GD) when my daughter-in-law had GD last year. Being a vegetarian, she had very little choice when it came to American hospital diet. She was admitted in the hospital on the 26th week of gestation with high GD and for about 3 weeks, I had to manage her diet with proper calculation of carbohydrate, protein and fibre. With proper guidance and wonderful cooperation from her dietitian, we could keep her glucose level under control. She delivered a girl baby on her 29th week, and both mother and daughter are doing great today.

TEA THE GREAT

TEA - A GLIMPSE
Besides multifarious benefits like, prevents cancer, reduces sugar level in the blood, green tea helps as antibacterial, stimulates energy level and so on and so forth, tea has added benefits.

It is found out that tea has floride in it and it is false if somebody says drinking tea will stain teeth.

Black tea is the best medicine for ulcer it seems.Should try it and see.

We have the habit of taking tea with milk and sugar. If one takes 4 cups of tea with full milk without water, he gets 21% of calcium required it seems.

Tea without milk or sugar has absolutely no calories and there is no limit to its consumption. So poga vara tea kudikkalam!!

Tea with a pinch of ginger will be very good for digestion.

Tea with a pinch of cardamom powder is excellent for the taste.

So I am thinking of starting a CHAI LOVERS" Association. All are welcome to become members!!
