HEALTHY  FIVE  GRAINS  VADAI

Raw rice
½ cup
Toor dhal
½ cup
Bengal gram dhal
½ cup
Urad dhal
½ cup
Moong dhal
½ cup
Grated coconut
2 tbsn
Green and Red chilli
2 each
Salt to taste

Oil
4 tbsn
Coriander & curry leaves
¼ cup

1.     Wash and soak all grains together for 2 hours.
2.     Drain them completely.
3.     Grind them coarsely with chilli, salt and coconut.
4.     Add coriander and curry leaves to the ground dough.
5.     Keep a broad based tawa on stove and pat the dough into small vadais 5 or 6 at a time.
6.     Sprinkle oil lightly around the vadais and close the tawa with a lid.
7.     When one side is done, turn around and roast them till golden brown and take.
8.     It does not need any side dish, but kids may love it with sweet tomato sauce.
Note: If you like the taste of pepper and jeera, you can reduce the chilli to one each and add one teaspoon of pepper jeera granules to the dough
